iamamiwhoami?

You're Little Boots.

Spent over an hour yesterday working on a post after studying the mouth structure of various blonde musicians proving Christina, Gaga, Goldfrapp and a few others to be out of the running, but because those commenters at Gorilla vs. Bear are so damn good, it looks like we found it out regardless.

Whew. Can't wait to hear what this will all turn into, though I gotta say I'm glad it's over - with all of the searching for jagged teeth, I was starting to feel like an really bad orthodontist.

Mexican Summer, Brooklyn Winter.

Besides the lineup practically driving me to impulsively drain my savings account for a plane ticket to SXSW, the bands at Gorilla vs. Bear's Showcase are literally all terms I would use to describe the world's greatest vacation:

"Eternal summer on the best coast we can find. I grab a handful of sandwitches, some of my dum dum girls, my best friend JJ and we hang at our sick beachside real estate all day. At night, we get totally washed out - it gets like Pearl Harbor up in there - and on the way home delve into memory tapes to remember what we said to that hot mountain man and his woodsman friend when we went out at Tamaryn over the weekend. Ah, to be the young."

I think I have snow day cabin fever...

I'm Going To Get So Much Shit For This.

I'm just going to come right out and say it - I absolutely cannot wait for Christina Aguilera's new album Bionic. For how much people are still on their GRAMMY highs praising the odd artistry of Lady Gaga and cutey-patootey curls of T. Swift, everyone seems to forget that Christina's already been through it all.

She's transformed herself from innocent bubblegum popstar:

To a gritty party-girl with a polished grime (my personal favorite):

To a classy, curled lady emulating decades past:

She completely transforms herself with each album, and while the above miiiiight have just been a justification for spending an hour watching Xtina videos online (how could you not?!), the announced collaboration list for the new album contains M.I.A, Le Tigre, Goldfrapp, Linda Perry Santigold, Ladytron and Sia, so even if Bionic sucks (which it won't - i'm crossing my fingers for a ridiculous Best New Music nod), it'll still have a better lineup than this year's Lilith Fair.

Though, as much as I hope those bizarre, tree-of-life, nature freak videos from iamamiwhoami that Gorilla Vs. Bear has been documenting is our lady Aguilera, as long as her hairdo of choice for this personification isn't like this or this, I'm automatically in.
