Couch Session: Oberhofer

Couch Session #21: Oberhofer
This is a bittersweet one,
In many ways, our last.
The end of a chapter,
A place now in our past.
That's where it all started,
In that little room,
And now it's only the couch
With which we resume.
This session with Oberhofer,
It's the only one we got.
No more old videos to post,
No photos left to crop.
On that summer Sunday,
With a real brunch spread
We spent Fathers Day not with pops,
But with each other instead.
Sitting around the kitchen
like an ad hoc family,
we grazed through a platter of lox and schmear
with bagels as far as the eye could see.
Looking back, it sounds quaint,
all of joining together to nosh.
It sticks out as one of the memories
of our former place to not be forgot.
If we could end on a note,
We're glad it's one that's this high,
As the band's fantastic three songs
reinforce why we try.
