The Temper Trap Played Spin's Offices, We Took Photos.

There's something about going to a magazine office after hours that makes you feel like you're living the summation of your 7th grade expectations of living in a city and seeing live music. There's a tiny venue, everyone's drinking the same brand of beer, the audience wears things like leather and ripped jeans and laced boots and other items only people who live in an urban city with a high population of rats own, and the sweaty rock band (key point!) plays songs that everyone knows and sways along too while talking to their neighbor.
Maybe I watched too many MTV shows while growing up, but riding up the elevator, hearing the music blasting through the floors getting louder and louder as I got to the top was quite possibly the highlight of the night. But, then again, the girl Shazam-ing "Sweet Disposition" a few rows in front of me when she obviously knew what band was playing probably takes the evening cake. Definitely takes it.
(there are plenty more GIFs where this came from. get ready.)
